Apprehensive

He approached her aprehensively
It has been over 6 months
since their last touch

His nerves on end.
Hi heart beating hard.
His hands shaking.

As he walked closer,
he hesitated.
Maybe he should give up.
Maybe it is not too late to turn around
And walk back and forget it all.

He found his nerve in the
Rememberance of her smell.
He could get lost in her scent.

Tentatively he walked forward.

He was standing right next to her.
Should he touch her?
Caress her as before?
He was so unsure.

Finally he opened the door,
got in and sat in her familar embrace.
She smelled refreshed after the repairs
But she felt familar and comfortable.

He knew he could drive once more.
